About Water's Edge Counseling & Healing Center

Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center (WECHC) is a mental health treatment center with a team of multidisciplinary professionals committed to walking with individuals on a journey of healing. We treat a broad range of mental health issues. We also have specialized treatment programs for eating disorders, depression and anxiety. We know that individuals have a lot of options when it comes to selecting a facility to get care. Our difference is that we are a small, homelike environment that offers the majority of services found at larger facilities. The end result is that individuals receiving care at WECHC report they feel the difference in care and are not just a number in a facility.

Our approach to treatment is what is often referred to as a “whole-person” approach. What that means for your care is that your provider will inquire into factors associated with biological, psychological, social and spiritual functioning. Then a treatment plan will be created that appropriately addresses each of these areas.

Regarding the role of spirituality in recovery, WECHC believes that spiritual beliefs and practices can have a strong influence on recovery. Each client coming to WECHC determines how much of a focus they would like this dimension to be in their treatment. There is a specific track of care that individuals with beliefs that align with Christianity. For those who have spiritual beliefs that are different than Christianity, we will work with you to identify the resources within your belief system that may be helpful for you to access during your journey of healing.
