Dual Diagnosis Services
At Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center, we have a team of Mental Health Professionals, Practitioners and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselors (LADC) ready to assist individuals on understanding the role of substance use and how it may be limiting their life. Using an integrative approach to care, we develop a supportive treatment plan based on your individual needs. Our team will assist individuals and families in early intervention, treatment of co-occurring disorders (substance use problems and mental health struggles), and long term recovery.
Chemical Health Assessments
Individual’s sometimes need a chemical health assessment without a commitment to treatment. Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center offers Chemical Health Assessments for individuals that have concerns about their substance use or have been requested to obtain an assessment by their lawyer, probation officer, courts, school, employer, or a family member. Assessments will be tailored to meet the unique needs and experience of each client. We start with a screening process that will guide the length and extend of the full assessment. Assessments may be for chemical health (Rule 25 assessment) only or may be a combined assessment of chemical health and mental health symptoms Assessment results will be available for release to appropriate agencies within 3 business days and upon receipt of a completed release of information from the client. The combined mental health and chemical health assessment are often paid for by medical insurance. However, many individuals prefer to pay for these assessments out of pocket and not use their medical insurance. Chemical health only assessments are not covered by your insurance and require private pay at the time of the service. To learn more about the process and the associated cost of these assessments please call our main number at 952-898-5020 option 4.
Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center offers individual therapy for adults and adolescents who are experiencing difficulty due to substance use related problems or in maintaining long term recovery. Individual therapy offers education, skills teaching, emotional support and problem-solving in a one-on-one session with a provider. This session is typically 45-60 minutes in length and typically occurs one and sometimes two times per week. Support people may join the session if desired or recommended by the provider.
