Providers at Water’s Edge CHC offer a broad range of
experience and knowledge to help you through your
therapeutic journey. Following are brief biographies of our
providers (team) to assist you in getting to know us.
Kim Bushman, PhD
Licensed Psychologist/Clinical Director
Specializing in the treatment of eating disorders for over
20 years, Dr. Bushman brings passion and expertise to her
clinical care of clients. She obtained her doctoral
degree in Clinical/Counseling/School Psychology from Utah
State University. A pre-doctoral internship was
completed at the University of Kansas School of
Medicine-Wichita. She has spoken professionally on the
topic of eating disorders and depression. In addition
to diagnosing and treating individuals with eating
disorders, she also has extensive experience working with
depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, relationship issues and
women’s issues. She is a certified provider of
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented treatment
approach to healing the damaging effects from trauma and
developmental wounds. Her current practice includes
individual and family therapy as well as facilitating Eating
Disorder Groups. Dr. Bushman is also experienced with
integrating Christian beliefs into the therapy experience
for individuals desiring this approach.
Jeanine Dorfman, M.Div., B.C.C.
Board Certified Chaplain and Ordained Minister
Jeanine Dorfman has a passion for helping people find peace and healing
as they work through the spiritual issues that accompany
their eating disorders. She received her Master of Divinity
degree from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, is ordained in the United Church of Christ and endorsed in the specialized ministry of chaplaincy. She is board certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains. Jeanine did her clinical training as a chaplain intern at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, a chaplain resident at North Memorial Hospital, and a second-year resident at Methodist Hospital. She served as a staff chaplain for several years at a local hospital where she created
the spiritual care component of an eating disorders treatment program.
Susan Dyke, R.D., L.D.
Registered and Licensed Dietitian
Sue Dyke is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who obtained
her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics
from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. She then
completed her internship at Regions Hospital in St. Paul,
MN, and has worked as a Dietitian in clinical and community
settings for 20 years. Sue has developed a special interest
in helping adolescent and adult clients discover the
connection between physical and emotional health through
variety, moderation, and balance in eating.
Rae Hoesing, Ph.D
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Hoesing received her bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Carlton College and her Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She gained experience working with eating disorders during her pre-doctoral internship at University of Wisconsin Madison University Health Services. Through her work with individuals, couples, and group psychotherapy of adults and adolescents, Dr. Hoesing has developed an expertise in the area of sexual health including relationship and sex therapy, women’s health and sexuality, abuse recovery, sexual dysfunction, compulsive sexual behavior, gender identity and expression, and sexual orientation issues. Her clinical interests include (but are not limited to): sexual health, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, stress, family of origin issues, spiritual/religious issues, career assessment and counseling, multicultural and social justice, and various concerns regarding identity, dependency and relationships.
Tara Huie
Certified Shiatsu Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga
Instructor
Tara received her Bachelors of Applied Science from the University of Minnesota, Duluth in 1995. In 1997 she became a certified shiatsu massage therapist at the Minnesota Center for Shiatsu Study and continues membership with the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia. With its roots in Japanese, acu-pressure techniques and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu Anma is a non-invasive form of therapeutic bodywork. These techniques are incorporated into the Intensive Outpatient Program to specifically help with digestive problems associated with eating disorders. In 2000, Tara studied at the White Lotus Institute obtaining a teaching certification and is currently working towards a certification in the Anusara tradition specializing in therapeutics. The therapeutic nature of yoga is used in the Intensive Outpatient Program along with breathing and meditation skills. Tara brings over 6 years of experience and understanding to blending shiatsu and yoga techniques specifically to help clients with eating disorders.
Jenny Klobassa, LICSW
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Jennifer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who received her
Master’s degree in clinical social work from St. Thomas University/College of St. Catherine. Jenny has a wide array of experience working with individuals and families. Jennifer has 5 years clinical experience in grief and loss work at a local hospice organization. She has also worked with adolescents at Remuda Ranch, center for anorexia and bulimia, and at Omegon, a dual diagnosis treatment center for adolescents. Furthermore, Jennifer has experience in general medical social work. As part of her internship training, she taught life skills to adolescents and prisoners in King Williams Town, South Africa. Jennifer has a minor in authentic movement and is a yoga teacher currently pursuing training certification in Anusara yoga. Her special interests include work in depression and anxiety, grief/loss issues, eating disorders, and body image therapy. Additionally, she has completed an intensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
for trauma, a body-oriented treatment approach to healing
effects of trauma. Jennifer is also experienced with integrating Christian beliefs into the therapy experience for individuals desiring this approach.
Bridgett Littel, M.A.
Psychotherapist
Bridgett obtained her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in Fullerton, California. Bridgett's passion is to help others find healing through an empathetic and collaborative therapeutic technique. Bridgett works with individuals, families and couples at Waters Edge CHC. She is also a part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), specifically designed for individuals experiencing an eating disorder. Bridgett's clinical experience includes diagnosing and treating individuals and families dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, relational issues, PTSD/trauma, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. She has also been involved in leading groups of adolescents, college-age and adult women for over 8 years. Bridgett is experienced in integrating Christian beliefs into therapy for those desiring this approach.
Krista Moldenhauer, M.S.
Licensed Professional Counselor
Krista received her Master’s degree in Counseling at Texas A & M University. Her internship was completed at the Texas A & M University College Counseling Center, where she worked with students and staff. Krista’s clinical experience is diverse and included various cultural, religious and economic issues, and clients of all ages. Krista is a published author, and a national speaker on topics including eating disorders, body image, and personality disorders. Her special interests include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. At Water’s Edge CHC, she provides individual, couples and family counseling, as well as co-facilitates depression/anxiety and eating disorder groups. Additionally, she has completed an intensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented treatment approach to healing
the effects of trauma.
Jessica Noyes
Health Educator
Jessica earned her Bachelor’s of psychology degree with an additional concentration on family social science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She currently supports the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Water’s Edge CHC and co-facilitates DBT skills training groups. Jessica has continued her training through completion of a DBT skill teaching seminar and eating disorder seminars. She is currently pursuing a doctorate of clinical psychology degree at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.
Kim O’Brien, R.D., L.D.
Registered and Licensed Dietitian
Kim is the lead dietitian of the Intensive Outpatient
Program (IOP). She also works with individual clients on an
outpatient basis and helps facilitate evening meal groups.
She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in dietetics
from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her
dietetic internship at Viterbo College in LaCrosse,
Wisconsin. Kim brings over thirtheen years experience to
Water’s Edge CHC. She developed the nutrition program and
worked as a clinical dietitian for a local Adolescent Day
Therapy Program for eating disorders. Prior to joining the
team at Water’s
Edge CHC she worked as a Clinical Dietitian at a local residential
facility for eating disorder treatment.
Alecia Viera
Pre-Doctoral Intern
Alecia has been with Water’s Edge CHC since June 2007 and in August, 2009 she began her pre-doctoral internship. She is currently attending Minnesota School of Professional Psychology for her doctorate in psychology. Prior to Water’s Edge CHC, she received training at Hazelden where she gained experience working with chemical dependency. Her special interests include eating disorders, trauma, chemical dependency, depression, anxiety and infertility and mental health. She currently provides individual therapy and group dialectical behavior therapy. Additionally, she has completed an intensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented treatment approach to healing the effects of trauma.
Anna Vogel, M.A.
Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Having obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Work from
Baylor University and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and
Family Therapy from Bethel University, Anna brings to
Water’s Edge CHC a diverse range of skills in working with
individuals, couples and families. Anna completed her
practicum in a private-practice setting where she diagnosed
and treated issues such as depression, anxiety, marital
conflict, healing after an affair, adolescent issues, PTSD/trauma,
eating disorders and relational family dynamics. Her
involvement with various student ministries, particularly in
the middle and high school setting, has also helped Anna
immensely in her understanding of the complex dynamics that
accompanies these stages of development. Her clinical
interests include working with individuals, couples and
families. Anna is also experienced with integrating
Christian beliefs into the therapy experience for
individuals desiring this approach.
Kishon Whittier, Psy.D., LP.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Whitter obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Northern Illinois University Counseling and Student Development Center where she specialized in the treatment of eating disorders. In addition to her training in the treatment of eating disorders, Dr. Whittier also has experience in working with adults with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, and adjustment difficulties. Additionally, she has completed an intensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented treatment approach to healing
the effects of trauma. Dr. Whittier is open to integrating Christianity into her work at the request of her clients.
Ann Wilcek, M.S., R.D., L.D.
Registered and Licensed Dietitian
Ann is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who works with
clients in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and on an
individual basis. She received her Bachelor of Science
degree in dietetics from the College of St. Catherine in St.
Paul, MN, and completed her internship at the University of
Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Ann continued
her education by completing a Masters Degree in nutrition
from Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL. She has worked
as a dietitian in the clinical and community settings for
over 10 years resulting in a wide spectrum of experiences
including clients of all ages. Ann strongly believes that
regular contact with a Registered Dietitian can be an
effective source of support and information for clients who
are trying to normalize their eating behavior.
Katie Wison, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Wilson completed her doctoral work in Clinical
Psychology with a concentration in children and adolescents
at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She
completed an APPIC-accredited pre-doctoral
internship through the North Iowa Consortium Psychology
Internship Program. Her experience includes
providing a wide range of therapeutic and assessment
services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr.
Wilson’s training has included experience with children,
adolescents, adults, and families around depression,
anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse,
adjustment issues, grief and loss, and relationship
concerns. She has training in and has
co-facilitated group therapy, including DBT skills training
groups. Dr. Wilson has continued her training through the
completion of DBT skills teaching seminars and seminars on
eating disorders. She currently provides individual, family,
and group therapy at Water’s Edge CHC. Dr. Wilson is open to integrating Christian beliefs into therapy at the request of her clients.
