Ellen Richmond, MA

Mental Health Practitioner

I am passionate about providing a welcoming, encouraging, and non-judgmental space for adults who experience anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, and life transitions. I currently provide individual psychotherapy services and co-facilitate the Adult Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program at Water’s Edge.

My goal as a counselor is to provide collaborative and supportive direction as you work to achieve your own unique goals toward mental health. I emphasize the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the mind, body, and spirit connection to achieve overall healing and wellness. My approach aligns most with principles of Person-Centered Therapy, but I also work to incorporate evidence-based approaches in my work and frequently utilize concepts from CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapies, and mindfulness-based practices. I also enjoy integrating Christian beliefs and practices into the therapy process for those desiring this approach.
