Katie Murray, Psy.D., L.P.Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Murray has been a part of the Water’s Edge CHC team since completing her doctoral work through the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 2008, which included an APPIC-accredited pre-doctoral internship through the North Iowa Consortium Psychology Internship Program. Her experience includes providing a wide range of therapeutic and assessment services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Murray’s training has included work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families for depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, adjustment issues, grief and loss, and relationship concerns.
Dr. Murray feels honored to be able to walk with clients on their healing journeys. Her passions include helping clients reclaim their lives after experiencing trauma and empowering them to draw on the wisdom they hold within. She has completed the Level I and Level II in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Level I EMDR to aid in this process. She has also been trained in inner healing prayer and is open to integrating Christian beliefs into therapy at the request of her clients.
In addition to her work with individual clients and couples, she is the primary therapist in the afternoon Depression, Anxiety & Trauma Intensive Outpatient Program and the Binge Eating Group. She also has the pleasure of serving as the Training Director, providing supervision to non-licensed providers and helping to coordinate training opportunities, and provides support to the clinic as a whole as the Assistant Clinical Director and Adult Services Supervisor.
