Pamela Brown, APRN, PMHNP-BC, MPA
Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Pamela is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults. She graduated with a Masters of Nursing Degree from the University of Iowa in 2012 and also holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Luther College and a Master’s in Public Administration from Drake University. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Pamela has worked in outpatient mental health clinics in the Des Moines metro area. She also has prior experience as a registered nurse in the roles of staff nurse, nursing supervisor and adjunct nursing instructor. Pamela believes in a conservative, holistic and comprehensive approach to treatment which may include counseling, lifestyle changes and/or psychiatric medications for the most optimal outcome for her clients. She has a special interest in treating and helping young clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral or adjustment disorders and trauma or spiritual related concerns. She works with clients between the ages of five and twenty-five.
