Stacy Vollands, MS, MS, LPCC, CEDS
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Hi, my name is Stacy Vollands, and I would love to meet you! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Minnesota as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Texas. I specialize in Eating Disorders, Body Image, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, and OCD.
I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist with experience in outpatient, virtual intensive outpatient, and IDP/PHP levels of care for eating disorders. I love encouraging others to find hope, health, and wholeness, as well as lifelong recovery. I work with adults, adolescents, and their families, as well as other therapists and pastors using therapies such as DBT, CBT, ERP, ACT, and EFFT. I am also an EMDR-trained therapist and love seeing people move past their trauma and negative core beliefs to experience freedom and abundant life. Although I work with clients with a variety of spiritual beliefs and practices, I do have specific training and experience in integrating Christian beliefs and practices for clients who desire this. Specifically, I also have extensive training in Biblical Counseling and have worked in Pastoral Care on the staff of a large church. I have even written a Christian Counseling Bible Study called “Fully Known and Fully Loved”, which I love integrating into therapeutic work with clients who prefer counseling from a Christian Worldview.
Each person is so unique, and I approach therapy from a stance of compassion and curiosity. I have the ability to listen carefully, without judgment, and offer compassion and unconditional positive regard and support to my clients as we work together through their negative core beliefs and trauma that may be causing pain and holding them back from living an abundant life. I love walking alongside my clients in a collaborative way, using a toolbox of concrete skills and evidence-based treatments that can help individuals cope with the stress in their lives so that they can build on their ability to live well and develop a more fulfilling, meaningful, and peaceful life.
