Whitney Richardson

Mental Health Practitioner-in-Training

Therapy is a place where you can bring your deepest hurts, most pressing concerns, and persistent worries to the table. It’s a safe place where healing, restoration, and transformation can occur. It’s a place where strategy, planning, and movement set the stage for growth and change. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nurturing environment where you can tackle your toughest troubles and deepest voids, whatever they might be. My role as your counselor is to partner with you on your journey, helping you realize there is hope for the future.

I currently work with adults of all ages, adolescents, families, and couples. I have a special heart for adolescents and young adults. This passion grew from my early work with children and teens in an educational setting. I specialize in the areas of anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, relationship problems, mood disorders, anger, and trauma.

I take a psycho-educational approach, blending different evidence-based treatment approaches. I also approach health holistically; addressing the spirit, mind, and body. Additionally, I can provide Christian integration if a client is looking to incorporate their faith into therapy.

Education: Completed my degree in Education (MSE) and School Psychology (EdS) from UW-River Falls, Currently working to obtain my Post-Master’s Certificate in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling from Adler Graduate School
