Children’s Mental Health Services
Just like adults, life experiences affect children’s mental health in positive and negative ways. Negative experiences may lead to anger, aggression, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Research has shown that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can have a great impact on future life experience, behaviors, and satisfaction. Providing your child with a safe, welcoming environment where they (and you) can learn skills to manage situations, behavior, and overwhelming emotions is one of the best things you can do for your child and family. At Water’s Edge CHC, we understand the importance of meeting kids where they are at developmentally. For this reason, sessions may include play therapy (see link below) techniques to facilitate communication and learning.
