Laura received her master’s degree in counseling and psychological services from Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, MN. She is trained as an alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) as well as a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). Laura recognizes attending counseling is often a difficult step to take, so she works to create an atmosphere that feels comfortable and non-judgmental. Laura’s goal in therapy is to work collaboratively with each client to build on personal strengths and identify resources for healing and growth. With experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma and substance use disorders, Laura is interested in working with individuals and couples facing a broad range of concerns including relationship issues, life transitions, addictive behaviors, low self-esteem, shame, and unresolved past hurt. She is open to integrating Christian beliefs into therapy for individuals who desire this approach and also welcomes clients of diverse belief systems and identities. Laura is trained in EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy level I.
