Jessica Bleninger, Psy.D, LPLicensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Bleninger started at Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center in 2008 as a Health Educator in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Eating Disorders. She left to complete an APPIC-accredited pre-doctoral internship with the Minneapolis Internship Consortium at Relate Counseling Center in 2013. She returned to WECHC in 2014 to provide individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and adults. She also facilitates a weekly Life Skills group. Her practice includes working with those who struggle with a wide-variety of mental health concerns such as Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Trauma, Adjustment Issues, phase of life issues, and relational concerns. Additionally, she completes pre-bariatric surgery assessments. Dr. Bleninger is trained in Level 1 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, for Trauma, and is currently in the process of completing Level 2 which is focused on addressing developmental wounds. Dr. Bleninger is committed to ensuring that her clients feel heard, supported, and safe in a collaborative environment. She is also dedicated to creating therapeutic experiences which are individualized and specific to each client’s unique set of needs and circumstances.
