Women’s Dual Diagnosis IOP
(Meets 3 hours per day/3 days per week)
When symptoms are more intense and are having a significant impact on a person’s ability to function, a more intensive treatment is often needed. Water’s Edge Counseling & Healing Center Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Dual Diagnosis for adult women (18+) empowers participants to master their own recovery and return to healthy balanced living. This dual diagnosis program was designed with an integrative approach to treatment addressing both substance use disorder and symptoms of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
Individuals in this program will participate in a group setting as well as individual therapy tailored to their specific needs. Throughout the program participants will receive education, skills teaching, relapse prevention, mindfulness practices, process with emotional support, crises management, family programming, support network strategies, and supportive snack. Participants will also explore the role of spirituality on healing and recovery. Examples of skills taught include: cognitive challenging, relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, healthy boundaries, emotional expression/containment, and communication skills.
